Welcome to Pax River!
Pax River is the popular name for Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland. Next to being the U.S. Nayv's prime aircraft testing facility, Pax River is home to the Naval Test Pilot School (NTPS). In real life, the U.S. Navy sends its top pilots to be trained here to become top-notch test pilots. Famous graduates of the NTPS include Jim Lovell, Alan Shepard and John Glenn.
The Virtual Naval Test Pilot School (vNTPS) strives to offer you FS2004-based flights on the aircarft types in use today at the real thing. One word of warning, though: you will need prior Flightsim experience! The syllabus does not provide basic flightsim training.
The syllabus does, however, provide a large number of flights using a variety of aircraft, including even a helicopter! So if you are a flightsim fan and you would like to test your skills in some fun-to-fly flights, download the syllabus, kick the tires and light the fires!
Have fun and don't fly into the Chesapeake Bay; it'll ruin your day!.
